Travis AFB evacuees to be released from quarantine

The evacuees from the Diamond Princess cruise transport who were quarantined at Travis Air Force Base are being released Monday. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said that up to 140 individuals who have been under quarantine for the new coronavirus never again represent a risk to the community and will be permitted to return home. Buses will take the evacuees to both the Sacramento International Airport and the San Francisco International Airport. No extraordinary accommodations are being made

Olympia lady isolated on a cruise ship in Japan tests positive for coronavirus

An Olympia lady who was isolated on the Diamond Princess cruise ship in Japan over coronavirus concerns says she has tested positive for the virus. Marianne Obenchain was flown back to the U.S. on Monday by chartered flights from the U.S. government after being isolated on the ship since Feb. 4. She showed up at an isolated facility in California where she experienced testing for the virus. She was told her outcomes returned positive for coronavirus, presently known as COVID-19
